Bernita Turner is Community Reinvestment Fund, Inc. (CRF)’s Office Manager/Asset Management Associate. A member of CRF’s staff since the beginning of 2006, Bernita’s asset management duties include monitoring construction and sales progress at CRF’s funds’ projects, monitoring projects’ compliance with CRF reporting requirements, and monitoring projects’ cash distribution activities. Meanwhile, her office manager responsibilities for CRF entail a wide range of day-to-day office functions, such as maintaining company, fund, and employee records; managing external communications; and handling accounts payable.

Prior to joining CRF, Bernita had over a decade’s worth of asset management experience at the Chicago-based Investment Management Corporation, where she performed a variety of operational review functions – such as monitoring construction and leasing activities, distributing investor reporting materials, monitoring compliance with insurance requirements, and reviewing tenant income certifications – for a large portfolio of affordable housing properties.
