Peter Quigley has been General Counsel of Community Reinvestment Fund, Inc. (CRF) and Assistant Secretary of the corporation since 2005. His primary responsibilities involve handling all project acquisition, fund financing, and investment disposition activities on behalf of CRF and its funds, and he represents CRF and its funds in other legal matters as they may arise.
Peter has previously served as in-house counsel to three Chicago-based syndicators of low-income housing tax credit investments: Chicago Equity Fund, Inc., Illinois Equity Fund, Inc., and National Equity Fund, Inc. At the National Equity Fund, Inc. Peter held the osition of Associate General Counsel. Prior to working for those three syndication firms, he was an Associate at the Chicago law firm of Field, Golan & Swiger (now Golan & Christie) and a Staff Attorney (Special Projects Section) in the Chicago office of the Resolution Trust Corporation. Peter has over 15 years of experience in the areas of affordable housing and commercial real estate.
Peter graduated from Seton Hall University, South Orange New Jersey, with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in accounting. He received a J.D. degree from the University of Dayton. He is currently pursing a Master’s Degree in Financial Services Law from IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law. He is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois and the Supreme Court of Illinois.
